West Wales' Premier Surf Club

WEST WALES' Premier Surf Club
The club has been organised by the sport
development division of Pembrokeshire County Council and Dean Gough from Outer Reef Surf School. Professional tuition will be provided by the Outer Reef Surf Centre instructors, who are fully qualified B.S.A coaches.
During the surf club sessions, the young people will be taken through the 'Young Athletes Junior Surf Scheme' which has been designed and developed by The British Surfing Association. There will be fun competitions as well as fitness, skill development, and safety and ocean awareness.
If any other schools are interested in their pupils taking part in this scheme, please contact Dean Gough on 01646 680070. These courses are ideal for our younger future surfers, aged 7-17.
The scheme includes a BSA Young Athlete log book and certificates for achieving each level and a surf club hoody and other goody donated by our spongers. The coaches will tick off your logbook which outlines your surfing achievements at the end of the surf lesson and at the end of your course, your Surf coach will award participants with your National Surfing Award (level 1-5).
The Young Athlete Surf Scheme is an ongoing scheme, so in future lesson at any BSA surf school your coach can use the logbook to gage your present level and take you through the next stages of the surfing development scheme.
